The Tamworth Hotel

We came to Tamworth to enjoy a concert at the recreation centre, had the pleasure of staying overnight at this lovely hotel! Amazing attention to the little things that matter! Customer service was fabulous, Kevin & Carol are great hosts! Should we come by this way again, we will definitely stay here! Thank you so much for a fantastic stay!

A large group of us went to the Black Cat Cafe at Tamworth after a paddle on Mellon Lake. The cafe is located in the Tamworth Hotel and is open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The food was inexpensive, and delicious, and the service was really fast and efficient! Their creative fruit drinks were awesone. Next time I'll try their coffee and ice cream. We loved sitting out on their beautiful verandah! Update: I had lunch at their cafe after a hike yesterday. The food was great again! They have finished renovating it into an upscale B&B. It would be a wonderful venue for a small wedding or other small event. I counted 34 seats in the dining room and there is lots more space on the verandah. They also have a huge parlor and a big back lawn!

The owners are fantastic people. Beautiful rooms. Awesome decor. The building is a piece of history. A must visit location.

Had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Tamworth Hotel. The hosts Carol and Kevin's attention to detail is unmatched. We were greeted w a lovely note and welcome. The attention to detail is fantastic! Towels in abundance Beautiful bed and linens Cozy and beautifully decorated rooms Snacks and breakfast options Shampoo, conditioner and lotion in bathroom Basically there was nothing left unavailable or I had to ask for. Huge hotels could learn a few things about the amenities Carol and Kevin offered!. The sleep i had was wonderful, the room cozy, room clean as a whistle. I absolutely loved being here and enjoyed the stay so so much! Thank you very much. Ill definitely be back and suggest the hotel! Great stay!

I attended a birthday celebration at the beautiful hotel. Pleased that there were outdoor activities for the kids as well as card games etc indoors. The hotel owners have thought of everything

Lovely place for a quick stop for an eat-in breakfast/lunch, or takeout. The owners have really done a nice job maintaining the old-world vibe of this historic hotel. Many options, including vegetarian choices. Service is very friendly. We enjoyed chatting with the owner. Look forward to an overnight stay when they start a B&B next year..

Great historic place to stop for a treat, serving huge double scoop ice cream cones for $3, or can have it in a cup, at the Black Cat Cafe. There is a second hand shop attached to it, fun to browse through random items. Cool old fashioned porch to sit and enjoy refreshment on. The home-baked style sweets all look mouthwatering, however my favorite by far is the googley-eyed donuts

We had the pleasure of touring this historic hotel during the 175th Anniversary of the village of Tamworth. This is a gorgeous hotel that has been tastefully renovated and decorated. The owners have done a marvellous job keeping this hotel 'iconic' to the village of Tamworth. Well done!
